Pto. de Topolobampo – Ahome, Sin. Noroeste is an 890MW combined cycle power plant, built by Iberdrola, for the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) the project is also known as Topolobampo combined cycle plant.
Transportes Muciño supports the transportation of turbines and generators with self-propelled hydraulic modular equipment, with Factor 5 load beams (500 ton capacity) and 3 tractor-trailer trucks.
The combined cycle power plant is part of a two-stage project at the moment, which also includes Topolobampo III. Adding a generating capacity of 680MW, the second stage of the project will be built adjacent to the first stage.
The plant will be built in the municipality of Ahome, in the port of Topolobampo, in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. It is expected to supply electricity to approximately three million customers in the country.
